SMARTLACE COLLECTION
Jon Renau's SmartLace collection combines innovative styles with comfort and realism. Designed with persnickety attention to detail, each wig's hairline is hand tied to a welded lace, which is pre-cut and ready to wear without the risk of unraveling or losing its shape. Perfectly snug and aligned with your natural hairline, the SmartLace front becomes practically invisible. Available in an expansive variety of styles - pixies, shags, bobs, bohemian waves, long layers, and trendy angled cuts - SmartLace wigs provide a secure, comfortable fit and a superbly natural appearance.
We recommend washing your wig every 6-8 wears
Before washing your wig, gently remove any tangles with your Jon Renau paddle brush or Jon Renau wide tooth comb
Hold wig or hairpiece under cool running water. Gently lather the hair with a capful of Shampoo while making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling
Rinse thoroughly in cool water until the water runs clear
Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat dry
Gently detangle hair using your Jon Renau wide tooth comb
Spray with Leave-In Conditioning Spray (3-5 pumps) keeping away from base of wig or hairpiece
Allow wig or hairpiece to air dry naturally by placing on a plastic or wire wig stand. DO NOT blow dry
Styling is very easy with your Jon Renau wig or hairpiece. We recommend simply using your fingertips or wig brush/comb for your desired style
If fullness is desired, gently backcomb hair using your wig or hairpiece brush/comb, then smooth the surface hair over and apply Holding Spray
DO NOT use heat to style synthetic fiber (curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers)
Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e. open oven, heater, etc.) Excessive heat can damage the fiber
We recommend using Jon Renau HD Smooth with your Jon Renau wide tooth comb to detangle your synthetic wig. This is especially important with the mid-length to long length wigs
I found the fiber much too thick and had to thin volumes of fiber. The side bang kept flopping into my face and nothing helped. I would not buy this wig again.
I purchased this wig as an everyday wear wig and I have not been disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised by the see through "smart lace" at the hair line. I didn't know what that was before I bought it, but basically it is a transparent part at the bangs that allows you to be able to flip the hair back and it looks like the hair is growing right out of your head. I've had monofilament top wigs that didn't have this "smart lace" and when the hair was lifted back you could definitely tell it was a wig. For me, the wig was a little long and hung a little too much in my face (mine hangs exactly like the blonde pictured, not the brunette), so I got about and inch and a half cut off and had a very slight fringe bang put in (very slight) just enough that the bangs would stay out of my face a little better. Cutting the length helped give it a little more shape as well (it hung pretty flat) but now it has a bit more volume and looks a little more like a bob (but not a-lined). It still flips out in the back and a little on the sides. Love this wig! It will be purchased again when this one wears out!
