EXTENDED INFORMATION

JON RENAU - SPRING 2017 COLLECTION
Spring opens a time to experiment and try untested paths. Jon Renau's 2017 Spring Collection embodies the spririt of growth and discovery in five stunning new wigs, including artfully asymmetrical looks, softly layered bob, and luscious long curls, and our first style made with hand tied French knotting, which achieves a close-up appearance nearly indistinguishable from natural hair growth. Embrace the newness of the season with a lust for life - be bold, and explore your options for change from inside out.

HD: HEAT DEFIANT WIG COLLECTION
The Jon Renau HD Collection combines beauty with resilience. Our luxurious heat resistant fiber can be styled day after day with a flat iron or curling iron, just like natural human hair. Made to be life-proof, it won't lose its vibrancy and silken texture with frequent change - no standard synthetic hair comes close. SmartLace hairlines and hand tied monofilament crowns push the realism even further, making caps all but disappear in look and feel. The HD Collection's range of styles and colors keep pace with changing trends - and will help you start new ones.

HOW-TO

HIGH HEAT SYNTHETIC FIBER CARE
We recommend washing your wig or hairpiece every 6 - 8 wears

Cleanse & Condition

  • Before washing your HD wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangels using your Jon Renau Wide Tooth Comb ONLY
  • Wet hair completely using cool running water
  • Gently lather the hair with a small amount of Jon Renau Synthetic Shampoo, making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling
  • Rinse thoroughly under cool running water until water runs clear
  • Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat dry
  • Gently detangle hair using your Jon Renau Wide Tooth Comb
  • Spray with Jon Renau Conditioning Spray (3 - 5 pumps) keeping away from base of wig or hairpiece

Dry & Style

  • Allow wig or hairpiece to air dry naturally by placing on a plastic or wire stand. Do NOT blow dry
  • Air drying your wig will give the best results. Allow cap to dry completely before applying to a canvas block head
  • Apply HD Smooth Detangler, (3 - 5 pumps) focusing on the bottom half of wig or hairpiece. Gently comb through using your Wide Tooth Comb
  • Only the Jon Renau Wide Tooth Comb is used on your HD wig or hairpiece. Other tools will cause frizzing/tangling
  • HD Fiber can withstand heat tools up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, however Jon Renau recommends working at 270 - 280 degrees Fahrenheit
  • It is recommended to use professional grade heat styling tools with digital temperature settings to control heat

Curl & Flat Iron

  • Heat your curling iron to 270 -280 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Using your Wide Tooth Comb, gently comb hair free of tangles
  • Starting at the nape, take 0.5" - 1.5" sections of hair (smaller sections = tighter curls, larger sections = looser curls)
  • Spray Heat Treat Thermal Spray on the section to protect the fiber (1 - 2 pumps per section)

Curl:

  • Gather hair into curling iron, smooth through to the ends. Roll iron up towards base of wig or hairpiece, staying 1 - 2 inches away
  • Hold for 10 - 15 seconds, then turn the tip of the iron toward the ground and release curl into palm of head
  • Holding curl in one hand, gather up towards base and secure curl with a small metal clip (like a pin curl)
  • Allow curl to cool completely (about 5 minutes); remove clip and let curl hang naturally

Flat Iron:

  • Starting at the nape, take 0.5" - 1.5" sections
  • Spray Heat Treat Thermal Spray on the section to protect the fiber (1 - 2 pumps per section)
  • Slowly smooth flat iron down through ends; keep hair smooth by following behind the flat iron with your wide tooth comb
  • Allow hair to hang naturally and cool completely

Tips
All synthetic fibers can tangle and frizz with wear. It is important that the frizz is corrected early to avoid permanent damage to the fiber. Using your flat iron, be sure to smooth any frizz before washing

  • We recommend using HD Smooth Detangler with a Jon Renau Wide Tooth Comb DAILY to detangle your HD wig. This is espeically importnat with mid-length to long length HD wigs or hairpieces
  • We offer HD Smooth in a convenient 2 oz. size for travel
  • Allow your HD wig to air dry naturally instead of blow drying to help maintain the integrity of the of the fiber
  • Help protect the fiber against heat damage by using Heat Treat Thermal Spray when using heat styling tools
  • To add texture and definition, use a small amount of Piece Out Contour Fiber Creme and apply using fingertips.
